OuR STORY
The Hope and Remembrance Foundation was created in loving memory of my son, Jason Barber, and my nephew, Blaine Smith, two lives deeply cherished, and forever remembered.
Their stories are not defined by how they were lost, but by how they lived, how they loved, and the impact they had on those around them. Their loss became a call to action- to educate, raise awareness, and help ensure others know they are not alone.
Through education, training, and open conversations, we strive to give communities the knowledge and tools to recognize when someone needs help and know how to respond.
Jason and Blaine’s legacy lives on through this mission, to bring hope where there is darkness, to remember with love, and to turn pain into purpose.
HOW WE CAN HELP
At the Hope and Remembrance Foundation, we are committed to equipping individuals and communities with the tools needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to suicide.
Education & Awareness
We provide resources and information to help people understand mental health, recognize warning signs, and break the stigma surrounding suicide.
Training & Prevention
We work to offer training opportunities that empower individuals, families, and communities to confidently step in and support those who may be struggling.
Community Outreach
Through events, walks, and local initiatives, we bring people together to share hope, remember loved ones, and create meaningful change.
Support & Connection
We strive to connect people with resources and support systems so no one feels alone in their journey.
